What Every Hypnobirthing Teacher Wishes They’d Done Sooner

Whether you’re already running a Hypnobirthing business or thinking about becoming a hypnobirthing teacher, there are a few patterns I see again and again as a teacher trainer and business mentor with over a decade of experience in this industry.

And honestly, I’ve done them too!

These are the things Hypnobirthing teachers tell me they wish they’d done sooner…

1.Starting before they felt ready

One of the biggest mistakes in any baby business is waiting.

Waiting for:

- the right time

- the perfect website

- more confidence

But the thing is… we can also feel more ready! Now is as good time as any.

When I started my own hypnobirthing business, I felt like I couldn’t properly talk about it until everything looked “professional.” But actually if I’d have started talking about what I did sooner, the sooner I’d have had clients.

Confidence doesn’t come first. Confidence comes from the action.

 2.Charging what you’re actually worth

This is such a common one, especially for new hypnobirthing teachers.

So many people undercharge at the start because they:

- feel inexperienced

- worry people won’t pay

- compare themselves to others

But then something interesting happens…

They increase their prices and realise that people still book, clients take them even more seriously and nothing “falls apart”!

In fact, charging well often leads to better client experiences. Your price is part of how people understand your value.

So instead of thinking, “What’s everyone else charging?” and then going a bit lower.

Ask yourself, “What price reflects the transformation I’m offering and the level of service I’m bringing.

3.Letting go of comparison

If you’re growing a Hypnobirthing business online, this one can creep in quickly.

You follow other hypnobirthing teachers for inspiration… and suddenly your feed is full of:

-what everyone else is doing

-how polished they look

-all the success they seem to have that you don’t yet

And it chips away at your confidence and leads to way too much over thinking!

If I could do one thing differently from the start, I’d be far more intentional about what I saw online.

Because the more you compare, the more you overcomplicate things,  doubt your own voice and hold yourself back

Instead imagine you’re the only person offering what you do. How would you show up? What would you be talking about?
